The combustion chamber is the heart of biomass systems and the key to efficiency. That's why we pay close attention to the design and construction of the combustion chamber. Why? Because this is where the difference between simply good and excellent is made! Proper combustion leads to the highest efficiency and lowest emissions. If combustion isn't controlled, not all the energy from the biomass is converted, leading to higher emissions—and that's not what KARA stands for.

Optimal design

Due to the longer residence time of flue gases in our systems, all dust particles are completely combusted, resulting in minimal emissions and a reduced load on the filter system. The biomass used and the desired output play a significant role in this, and we carefully consider these factors during the design phase.

Thanks to our innovative design, we guarantee optimal biomass combustion. This not only ensures efficient fuel consumption and minimal emissions, but also reduces filter strain. This allows us to offer technology that is both energy-efficient and meets the strictest environmental requirements

Efficient aeration

Good aeration is crucial for both efficient combustion and cooling of the fireplace. Our fireplaces are equipped with primary and secondary aeration systems. The primary aeration system precisely regulates the air supply at the bottom of the grate, ensuring optimal combustion and efficient use of the biomass.

The secondary air supply, blown in from the side, controls the temperature and combustion, extending the firebox's lifespan. We also utilize flue gas recirculation to optimally regulate the oxygen content during the combustion process. Everything is controlled automatically via a custom-programmed control system.

The right cooling

When burning biomass, especially dry fuels, the combustion chamber can become extremely hot. This can lead to problems such as thermal NOx, ember formation, and material damage. To prevent this, in addition to efficient aeration, we use a water pipe cooling screen, which helps control the temperature and prevent damage
