Read below to learn how KARA Energy Systems has developed over the years into a global player in the development of biomass installations.
KARA Energy Systems has a long history. The company began as a local specialist in energy solutions. Through continuous innovation and a commitment to sustainability, it grew steadily. Moreover, a series of strategic expansions led to KARA becoming a leading name in the international biomass industry.
Furthermore, the company has consistently focused on technological advancements. Customer-focused solutions are also central to its approach. As a result, KARA Energy Systems continues to contribute to the global transition to sustainable energy sources.
The story of KARA begins with Klaas Reinders Sr., who decided to start his own company in 1910 at the age of 20. It started with the production of stoves and cookers. The demand for stoves and gas cookers continued to increase. Soon, KARA stoves were being sold throughout the Netherlands. With the growth of industry, the demand for larger industrial boilers and heating systems also increased. Innovation was always a driving force for the family business, resulting in a line of quality products that became ever bigger and stronger.
During the First and Second World Wars, the family business faced extremely difficult times and struggled to survive. These were terrible years for the entire Netherlands and its inhabitants. If anything has been learned from these dark chapters in history, it is that successful companies must develop a long-term vision, have confidence in their product, strive for sustainability and innovation, and work tirelessly. The combination of external adaptability and maintaining strong internal consistency was born and has proven to be a proven recipe for continuity.
After World War II, Europe was undergoing reconstruction, and Kara now supplies its products and machinery throughout Europe. During this time, new companies emerged in the wood, steel, energy, and heating industries. Innovation and technological advancements formed a rock-solid foundation for the family business.
In the 1960s, the company was split into four units, each with its own strengths, to maintain a flexible and manageable operation. KARA was officially established.
Various installations will be delivered in England and Germany. Kara will become an international player in generating clean energy with biomass installations.
