Our client, Hebo Hengelvelde, needed an efficient and sustainable solution to supply hot water for industrial heating and a small portion of process heat. The project included the engineering, installation, and commissioning of an 850 kW hot water boiler, powered by wood chips.

Innovative Hot Water Solution for Window and Door Production
Hebo Hengelvelde is improving its energy efficiency with a new 850 kW hot water boiler, which supplies hot water for both company heating and a small portion of the production process. The boiler uses wood as biomass, offering a sustainable solution for their heating needs.
Biomass combustion
The biomass, consisting of wood chips, is burned in an efficient boiler specifically designed for this type of fuel. This ensures high energy density and clean combustion with minimal emissions.
Biomass logistics
Biomass is stored and distributed via a system of augers, slides, and conveyor belts. Storage takes place in a silo with a moving floor, which guarantees a continuous supply to the boiler.
Biomass output
The system's output consists of hot water and has a capacity of 850 kW. This hot water is used to heat the business premises and partly for the production process.
Flue gas cleaning
The combustion flue gases are cleaned using filters yet to be specified. These filters minimize harmful emissions and ensure that the system meets strict environmental standards.
