Efficient and Sustainable Energy Solution for SAM Mouldings

Our client, SAM Mouldings, needed an efficient and sustainable solution for generating electricity and steam due to high energy prices and regulations that affect large energy consumers, who face additional costs during peak hours. The project involves three steam boilers with a combined capacity of 9.6 MW thermal and 1.1 MW electrical. The boilers are:

  • 2001: 2300 kW Steam 15 bar(a) CHP
  • 2003: 2300 kW Steam 15 bar(a) CHP
  • 2006: 5000 kW Steam 15 bar(a) CHP

All boilers are interconnected and together generate 1100 kWe. The residual heat is used for building heating.
