For Etorki, KARA Energy Systems is realizing a future-proof biomass plant for the generation of hot water for industrial wood drying. The plant is designed to efficiently process both dry and wet residual wood and supplies 8 MW of sustainable heat for the BES Bollmann drying chambers.
Future expansions were explicitly taken into account in the design. The installation is prepared for steam generation, the integration of a turbine for electricity production, and an expansion of drying capacity. As a result, Etorki has an energy supply that grows with the company's ambitions.
Etorki wanted to make the energy supply for its drying chambers more sustainable while simultaneously making optimal use of wood waste streams from its own production. The new installation had to be able to process both dry and wet wood and provide a reliable heat supply for the drying systems.
In addition, the client wanted to invest in an installation that is prepared for the future. By already taking steam production, a steam turbine, and additional drying capacity into account, a scalable solution is created that significantly simplifies future investments.
