Sustainable heating solution for Gölz Paletten's

Our client, Gölz Paletten, needed an efficient and sustainable solution to heat their drying kilns, which were supplied by BES Bollmann. The drying kilns, each with a capacity of 3,000 pallets, required a reliable hot water supply to support the drying process. This project included the engineering, installation, and commissioning of a hot water boiler powered by wood chip pallets.

Gölz Paletten is optimizing its drying process with a new hot water boiler that supplies 2,200 kW of heat. The boiler uses shredded pallets as fuel and ensures an efficient and environmentally friendly heat supply to the fully automated drying chambers by BES Bollmann.

Innovative Heat Supply for Pallet Production

Gölz Paletten is optimizing its drying process with a new hot water boiler that generates 2200 kW of heat. The boiler uses shredded pallets as fuel and provides efficient and environmentally friendly heat to the fully automated drying chambers.
Biomass combustion
The biomass, consisting of wood and chipped pellets, is burned in an efficient boiler specifically designed for this type of fuel. This ensures high energy density and clean combustion with minimal emissions.
Biomass logistics
The biomass is stored and distributed via a system of augers, slides, and conveyor belts, with storage in a silo and a conveyor belt in a bunker. A crane and hopper ensure continuous supply to the boiler.
Biomass output
The system's output consists of hot water with a capacity of 2200 kW. This hot water is used to heat the drying chambers, which is essential for efficient pallet production.
Flue gas cleaning
The combustion flue gases are effectively cleaned using PA and fabric filters. These filters minimize harmful emissions and ensure that the system meets strict environmental standards.
