What if you could use residual streams from your own production for new energy?
What if you could use residual streams from your own production to power that same production?
This has been happening at this production site for years. Damaged and rejected sheets are processed into sawdust and subsequently used as fuel for KARA's biomass plant.
In this way, a residual stream generated during the production process is locally converted into heat. This heat is then directly utilized within the company's own production process. An efficient way to give residual streams a valuable new purpose while simultaneously reducing dependence on other energy sources.
In operation since 2007
The KARA installation has been operational at this location since 2007. To ensure the installation continues to function reliably and efficiently for the coming years, the system has recently been upgraded.
With this, this installation demonstrates that a biomass energy system can not only add value today, but, with the right modernization, can also remain part of an efficient production process for years to come.
Converting waste streams into valuable energy. That is what we work on every day at KARA.
