Expansion of steam plant in Bulgaria: sustainable heat from straw in full swing!
We are proud to announce that we are further expanding the steam plant at one of Europe's most progressive pet food factories in Bulgaria. Here, straw, a byproduct of their own cultivation and harvesting, is converted into sustainable heat for the production process. After harvest, all the straw needed to generate steam is available. In 2017, we installed the first 2.3 MW plant there. Now, eight years later, we are expanding the capacity by another 3.4 MW. We are pleased to once again contribute as a project partner to innovative and sustainable solutions within the pet food industry.
This project demonstrates our strengths: customized solutions for difficult-to-burn biomass, combined with advanced filter techniques that meet the strictest environmental requirements.
